YRSA Individual Development Program (IDP)
Objectives of the Program
The Individual Development Program is designed for U11 and U12 players that are currently registered for a Non-OPDL club in the YRSA. The objective of the program is to identify and develop talented players and give every player the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Players can participate by invitation only!
Age Appropriate Development
Players in these age groups have a special ability to learn. The IDP will focus on the basic elements of soccer (passing and receiving, shooting, dribbling, 1v1 attacking and defending, etc.), as this is the right age to work on specific techniques and skills.
The YRSA will offer the opportunity for 24 players of each gender to improve their level of play.
- 48 players (24 boys, 24 girls, bi-weekly every Friday)
- 5-Month program aligned with the YRSA outdoor season
- 5-Day Summer Camp mandatory for every player (July 20.-24, 2015, 9am-4pm)
- Low Player/Coach ratio
- Program and sessions are planned and delivered by Erik Stoffelshaus (YRSA Technical Director, UEFA A-Licence)
