OSA Referee Grading Protocol Update
As the OSA continues the implementation process for the OSA Grading Protocol and the correct allocation of grades within the District pool, please note referee grades are being updated as follow:
Grade 10 - Referee achieved Provincial Fitness Standard at a HI Fitness Test by June 1st and mark above 80% in the Registration Evaluation
Grade 9 - Referee achieved Regional Fitness Standard at a HI Fitness Test by June 1st and mark above 80% in the Registration Evaluation.
Grade 8 - Referee surpassed the District Fitness Standard at a HI Fitness Test or achieved District Fitness Standard at a Cooper or Beep test and mark above 80% in the Registration Evaluation OR Referee in the process of achieving a District Fitness Standard at a Cooper or Beep test by June 30th and mark above 80% in the Registration Evaluation.
This process will allow Referee downgraded from the Provincial or Regional List to retain a grade 8 until the deadline for fitness tests season for District Referees (June 30th) and have the opportunity to sustain this grade until 2015 by achieving the District Fitness Standard.
After June 30th, your District Referee Coordinator in collaboration with the OSA will update your grade accordingly.
Important: For the 2014-2015 period, if you fail to reach the required standard for your current grade in 2014 but succeed in 2015, you'll have the opportunity to be reinstated to your original grade for the 2015 season - assuming all other requirements are met.
